Finally, finally was able to get started on my slice of the library quilt. I'm having so much fun. Two days and I have the top part done. Need to work on the bottom part, rabbit with clock and guy in the suit of armor. This is what I have so far. It's so bright, may have to tone it down.

ART QUILT SHOW NEWS
Terry Waldron has 2 quilts accepted into Quilts=Art=Quilts. Out of 285 entries, 96 were accepted. "Rain or Shine" and "Calla Lilies" will be shown from Nov 4th to Jan 7, 2007 at Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn, New York.
Cindy Cooksey has a quilt "Gap" in Ami Simms' travelling exhibit "Alzheimer's: Forgetting Piece by Piece" that will be shown at PIQF (Santa Clara) in Mid-October 2006 and Road to California (Ontario) in Mid-January 2007.
Jamie Fingal and Cindy Cooksey both have quilts accepted into The World of Beauty exhibit at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Nov 1-5, 2006. Jamie (La Vie Boheme and I've Got Rhythm); Cindy (Garden of Earthly Delights).
Anne Copeland, Jamie Fingal and Stacy Hurt will have pieces in the upcoming Journal Quilt book that will be out in October, published by Quilting Arts, LLC.

Jamie, Joanell and Terry's sections are sewn together - I had to re-do the "U" because it didn't line up. And this was difficult, because I don't do BIG. So if you can imagine it being crammed into my sewing room and then putting the "U" under the needle to sew on. Arghhh. What do you think? Posted by Picasa
